The SHORTLIST for the Booker is now out...and surprisingly includes Mohsin Hamid's, The Reluctant Fundamentalist. It is, imho, an average novel and shouldn't win on merit alone BUT it'll be great if he does win as he'll become the first pakistani to win the Booker.
